Embroidery Machine Process
If you don’t know much about embroidery, don’t worry. Little Bear Design can take your idea from artwork to finished embroidery apparel.

The machine embroidery process works like this:

  1. Contact Little Bear Design to initiate the process. Decide which type of item, such as golf shirt, bag or towel etc., to be embroidered. We carry brand name, high quality products at reasonable costs- Browse our catalogs.
  2. Decide what you want to put on your item. If you have your own artwork, you can email it to us and we will give you a quote on digitizing.
  3. If you don't have your own artwork, you can look at our design library and find something you like.
  4. Once we have the garment, the design, and payment, we will schedule it for production usually within two weeks, often within one week.
  5. The garments are placed on a special hoop that holds them in place during the embroidery. We will load your embroidery design file onto our computerized embroidery machine.
  6. The embroidery design file controls where to put down stitches and when to change needle with different color thread. If it meets our quality standard, we can mail, drop off or you can pick up your item(s).

Digitizing

An artwork in a graphical file format doesn't mean that it is ready for embroidering. The design must be manually digitized. This involves using a mouse or a tablet to enter the design into a digitizing software.

A digitizer decides

  •  where to put stitches,
  •  what type of stitches to use,
  •  when to change colors, and
  •  how dense to make the stitches.

These stitch data are stored in embroidery design file. It is the road map used by a computerized embroidery machine to select thread color and to place stitches on garment.

Once your artwork is digitized, we can place it on anything from shirts , towels, hats or jackets.

There is an one-time cost associated with having a logo or an artwork digitized.

Have your own artwork/logo and want to know much it's going to cost to recreate it in thread??
